10% Off Fresh Cut Christmas Trees

Welcome to the home of Shrewsbury’s most beautiful fresh cut Christmas trees!

This festive season we will be stocking the firm favourite, Nordmann Fir Christmas trees, which, like all of our Christmas trees are British Grown.

A popular choice as a Christmas tree and known as the ‘non-drop Christmas tree’, it will retain its blue-green needles better than other varieties, especially if kept well-watered and away from direct sources of heat such as radiators, wood burners, and open fires.

These will be for sale from the week commencing 21st November. Our prices start from £30.

Receive 10% off the price of your tree by presenting the voucher below. Please note the terms & conditions.

Our Real Christmas Tree FAQs

  • Where should I store my real Christmas tree?

Store your Christmas tree in cool conditions away from the wind and sunlight.

  • How do I keep my tree hydrated?

Put the base of the tree in a bucket of water to prevent dehydration.

  • How do I improve water retention for my tree?

When you are ready to put your tree up you should cut 1cm – 2cm (1”) from the base of the tree before putting it in a stand that has watering holding facilities. By doing this you will have broken the natural seal on the base of the trunk and the tree will be able to take up as much water as it requires.

  • What do I need to consider when bringing my tree inside?

Before bringing your tree inside hold the tree up-right and bang the bottom of the tree onto the ground to remove any old needles.

Check the tree has water every day DO NOT allow it to dry out.

Once the tree is in its stand and in the correct spot remove the netting.

Avoid placing the tree near a fire or radiator (any direct heat source) as it will dry out and will drop it’s needles.

Christmas Wreaths

We will be offering beautiful handmade fresh Christmas wreaths for sale from the week commencing 21st November.

The tradition of hanging an evergreen wreath on the front door of homes dates back centuries. The Christmas wreath as we know it, was made fashionable by the Victorians but its history goes back way further to pre-Christian times, as early as Roman times when they were given as gifts for victory in battle and a status symbol of the powerful and wealthy.

The circular shape of the wreath symbolises eternal life with a circle having no beginning or end, the addition of colourful, bright foliage, berries, bows and materials stand out in the bleak, dark midwinter, welcoming visitors to your home.

Our real Christmas wreaths are carefully created from British grown Noble Fir and beautifully hand-dressed in different festive designs to suit all tastes and budgets.

We also stock plain holly wreaths for a subtle look, or for dressing up yourself at home for a personalised look.

Prices start from £11.

Some interesting information

The History of Christmas Trees

Evergreen fir trees adorned with colourful decorations, lights and tinsel are one of the most loved symbols of the festive season, but have you ever wondered where the tradition comes from?

While many believe the tradition of Christmas trees in Britain was started by Queen Victoria, between 1837 and 1901 – it actually goes as far back as ancient Rome and pagan traditions.

Long before being associated with a Christian holiday, Christmas trees began as a pagan tradition.

Pagans used branches of evergreen plants and trees to decorate their homes during the winter solstice, as a reminder of the spring to come and to bring life and colour to dull winters.
